KARMA is a pretty and smart German Shepherd mix. Karma is a
graduate of our prison dog training program who was adopted and just returned.
Her person says she is just the greatest dog, good natured, great with kids,
house trained and crate trained. However Karma wants to be the dominant
dog and couldn't get along with her adopters other dog, so Karma really should
be an only dog. This great girl can
be seen and adopted at the shelter.

FINWAY is a Pit/maybe Lab mix. When he was very
little he had Parvo and almost died and then his front legs were
very crooked and no one wanted him. He is now very strong and
healthy and his legs are perfect. He was adopted but he did not get
any training. He was brought back to the shelter with no idea how to
behave. He loves other dogs and all people and wants to run and
play. He is an affectionate dog. He needs a pack leader to teach him
how to behave. He has a lot of energy but he is an intelligent dog
able to learn quickly. He is currently in foster care.

| LETTERS FROM HAPPY ADOPTERS
" Just a quick note to let everyone know how happy we are with our recent adoption of Curley (now Cooper). Everyone at the Shelter was wonderful to work with and we are truly enjoying our newest family member. Thanks for all the wonderful work each of you do in helping find these beautiful animals forever homes. " " I am writing to let you know that Frosty (now called Lady) whom I adopted from the New Leash on Life program is truly a wonderful dog. Even though she has only been with me since March18th she has truly become a member of the family. She gets along great with my other dog and has fun trying to get the cat to play with her. She is very playful yet readily obeys her commands. She is a joy! I want to thank Tonya and the fellas that trained her. They are doing a wonderful job and have given me a wonderful dog. I am so glad I read about the program and was lucky enough to get one of the dogs. I would encourage everyone to look into adopting the dogs from the program. They are truly well trained and lovable and would make a wonderful companion. "
" We wanted to thank you for making our first
adoption experience a pleasurable one. We are so happy we got to adopt Ritter. He has adapted very well
and brings so much joy to
our little family " Thanks to all of you for all that you do to see to it that the dogs/cats in your care are adopted by loving families, they all deserve more love than they could ever have dreamed of. We love Allie sooooo much!!! " " Macy is adjusting very well. She's such a lovable pet. She is housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. We love her so much. We made a wonderful choice is selecting her. " "We adopted Levi who is now named Socko. He is the perfect addition to the family. He is the smartest puppy. He never goes potty in the house, he already knows how to sit and we are working on his high five. He loves to go outside and roll in the grass and play with twigs. He loves to snuggle on the couch with the kids and in the bed with my husband and myself. He is staying in the crate for now at night and when we are away. But he loves to jump in the car at 3:30 to pick the older kids up from school. As soon as we pull into the school he jumps up on the window and looks for "his boys". He can't wait for them to get in the car so that he can smother them with kisses. He doesn't make a sound. When we tell him to go to his room he goes right in his crate and lays down. I will send pictures very soon. Thank you all for allowing us to add the perfect addition to our family. " "I think it’s just wonderful all you do for the animals and the “New Leash on Life” Program. We were both really impressed by the guys, their love for the dogs and their professionalism in handling them. Thank you so much for everything. We’ll keep you all posted on Dottie" |
