About Dorothy Dietrich

Is a soft, fluffy blanket your kryptonite? Dorothy Dietrich has come a very long way in the time she has been with us. Originally from a high kill shelter, Dorothy came to us as a pregnant momma cat. She earned her claim to fame when she was still pregnant and escaped the foster room of her foster mom’s house, popped up a floor air conditioning grate and set up camp in the duct work in the crawl space (hence her escape artist name). She was thankfully reclaimed from her grand adventure under the house and gave birth a few days later. She mothered her little ones well and gave them the skills they needed to be proper cats and sent them off to be adopted. Dorothy has come a long way from the escape artist she once was. Still a little aloof, the key to getting close with her is approaching slowly and presenting her your hand so she can smell you and initiate the first touch. She now loves the comfort of a super-soft blanket and could stir concrete with the biscuits making skills she showcases. If she truly relaxes, you can even catch her suckling on a good blanket. Dorothy would do best in a home with mature kids and adults as children would probably be a bit much for her. Dorothy is at Princeton's Meow and can be seen during open hours.
