Say hey to Amichi! He was surrendered as a young pup with seven of his siblings. Amichi is now just over a year old and according to a sibling's DNA test, he's 50% German Shorthaired Pointer (which we 100% see). True to his breed, Amichi is a very active dog that needs an outlet for his energy. He would greatly benefit from a home that gives him an appropriate resource to release his energy such as a fenced in back yard to run in, or an active person that can take him on many walks or runs. He needs an adopter that is looking for an active companion, not a couch potato. Amichi has grown up in the shelter setting so he's in need of a little training and patience as he makes the transition from the shelter setting to a home environment. Amichi has shown that he's protective of his food bowl, and will need an adopter that is understanding of this. He does do well with other energetic dogs that share his same play style. He would do best in a mature household that is free of younger children due to his energy level and still having some of those puppy behaviors that need some training.
