This father and son duo are Dusty and Bruiser! They are Dachshund mixes that were recently surrendered to us. Both are just under fifteen pounds and Dusty is around five years old while his son, Bruiser, is three. The two have shared their lives together and have a tightly bonded relationship. They currently spend their days curled up on blankets and going for walks together. Dusty has an easy going attitude and isn't bothered by much. He's quicker to approach new situations than his son. Bruiser is a little more reserved; but once he's had time to get to know you, he'll want to be in your lap for affection. Both boys are incredibly sweet and adore being able to sit and spend time with someone. They would love a home where it's just the two of them and their people. They would do best in a home without small children as well. Being a bonded pair, Dusty and Bruiser must be adopted together. Dusty is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which is covered by us, but will need to be fostered for the duration of the treatment until he is available to be adopted.
