These beautiful sisters are Xena (red nose) and Alena (black nose). They came to us from our local animal control after being left behind at a property. They are estimated to be around three years old and are full of spunk and personality. We believe they are some combination of Cattle Dog and Brittany Spaniel and are a little chunky at around 50 pounds. Alena is the adventurous and more outgoing of the duo, while Xena is slower to approach new situations. Both are friendly and sweet with anyone they meet and will try to be lap dogs. However, anything with four legs is usually not perceived as a friend so they so they may need to be the only animals in the home. Due to the lack of vet care and preventatives prior to coming to us, Xena was heartworm positive. She has since been treated for the disease and has now tested negative!
