Titus is a seven year old, sixty pound chunky monkey that's a mix of a couple of different breeds. We've come to know him well as he has called HSOC home for the past five years, still patiently waiting for his perfect fit. When first coming to us Titus was big on "stranger danger" and felt the need to immediately protective himself versus taking time to get to know someone before realizing that they weren't scary. As he's grown older, he's come to see that people can be kind and affectionate to him, and he returns that love right back once he's had a minute to get to know you. He gets so excited to see his care takers and friends daily, often with a wiggle butt and his favorite Kong toy in his mouth. He enjoys going for walks where he's able to explore a bit and really enjoys laying out in the sun on his dog bed. Titus knows his basic commands and is eager to listen to his person. He shows great loyalty to the people that respect him and his boundaries. Titus would love a mature home where he is the only four legged creature - he doesn't mind most dogs but definitely doesn't want to share his space with another one. He also is very unsure of kids and their unpredictable movements, so a child free home is a must. Titus is a very deserving boy that just needs someone to show him some patience and understanding. He needs someone that will go slow with him and help him adjust to a live outside of the shelter.
